Change begins from Within

Some moments create confusions and some others are void and simple, inspiring and enlightening. Right now feeling much of these in a mix. Life has multiplicity of choices, yet one hardly has a choice than to live life. But do we really live life or just pretend to do it on pretext of Falsity.

Adi Shankaracharya said-

 ''ब्रह्मसत्यं जगत् मिथ्या, जीवो ब्रह्मेव नापर:| ''

i.e. Brahm is ONLY absolute reality but then it is also anirvachaniya (cannot be described). But Jagat sure is mithya (neither real nor unreal) i.e. false appearance of Brahm. Brahm is absolute truth, goodness-in-itself. Jagat is not really so. Even if there is really no Brahm, yet this concept does give an insight of what ought to be. What is moral and ethical and what is practised ostensibly. Jagat is full of false appearances because of inherent material disposition in it. May be matter-in-itself is nothing bad, but ownership of matter is an evil and it propagates further evil.  In some way, Communism is not all wrong. What is Ethics? What is Morality? What is Right? These are too difficult questions to answer, but whole life depends on it. So they seek an answer since the day mankind are on earth. Reason tries to search for an answer to these questions, but are they really worth a quest of reason at all?

Reason can only apply to reasonable fields which are empirical in nature i.e. based upon observations and experiments. What can’t ever be experienced, can’t ever be truly rationalised. But this does not answer our questions. Philosophy has been, since time immemorial a quest in search of answers to these questions. We can keep on finding facts, principles, laws of nature and improve upon our scientific pursuit; but what will a scientific society do without moral individuals. Morality needs a definition. To be true to it, Morality is beyond definition and any definition of morality limits it and hence is incomplete. Yet for the sake of defining it, it must be defined. So the quest went on... Here I am not going to enlist those definitions.
But I have a question-
Have you ever defined Morality for yourself? Think again, Have you defined morality or have you defined limitations to it? Well, Defining Morality is as important as practising it. And if you claim to be a moral individual, define morality for yourself. Why? May be once you do, you will find answers to certain questions like why individuals turn immoral when they do? Why we do what we never meant to?

Now one might doubt, and a reasonable one, that an individual definition of morality won’t go far in best interests of society. Yes, it won’t but it will certainly reach somewhere and once it reaches where it will; the path ahead would be easier than as it is today. It is easy for a state to regulate it’s citizens by rules and procedures prescribed by it but is it not breach of freedom of will of an individual? Solution lies in the question.

A state is made up of it’s citizens and if we, as citizens,  choose to be moral, it would be far easier to abandon inhuman regulatory acts which breach our freedom of will. No point begging the question all time regarding conflictual situations of all types – individual, social, political, religious or economic. It’s time we should justify our stand one-by-one, one step at a time. Justice has long been delayed to many of us. It is our due to them, it should be our ultimate concern. God will not come on earth to give them their due. The earth has well been ours for exploitation of resources, it is equally ours to make a fine balance and to do justice towards all.

To conclude, There is a Doha by Kabir-

हद चले सो मानवा, बेहद चले सो साध|
हद-बेहद दोऊ तजै, ताकर मता अगाध||”

(Ordinary men follow the limited, the saints follow the unlimited. But the deeper minds go beyond both of them.)

Hair Styles and the Awesomeness!

Very uniquely, Hair style is something which is very much connected with the culture. In the era of Globalisation, we are moving towards Global hairstyles but yet culture in its own ways keeps reminding us. This particular feature of Hair styling has always inspired me.

Indian Bridal Hairstyles are the best to start with. On the day of wedding, A women is like a queen, so bridal looks are the focus and hair style one of the most important aspect of it. A general indian wedding hairstyle is done keeping the heavy jewellery and bridal outfits in mind.

Indian brides generally go for beautifully shaped buns which are futher decorated with other hair accessories. Well, the kind of craze that is for the buns in India I sometimes think if it is also the reason we call girls ‘Bandi’. :P (no pun intended, afterall I am also an innocent banda)

Pinned up Bun is a traditional bun style.

Side bun is another recent variation of the style.

Now after wedding styles, next in my attention span are our bolly-girls. Bolly-girls flaunt all kinds of hairstyles from a school girl hairstyle with ponytails to anything bunny. (Reminds me of Idea Honey Bunnies)

And when it comes to honey bunnies of Bollywood, my favourites are Aishwarya and Kareena and I feel both of them flaunt ramp-ready hair styles.

Last but not the least, we just cannot ignore hot and sweet Diana Penty in her awesome styling. Afterall, She is always ramp-ready with TRESemmé.

Oh Diana! Your hair just make me go crazy for you.

All credits to TRESemmé though. TRESemmé is a perfect hair care solution for all kind of hairs unless your hair style is 'go bald' types which of course is no girl's favourite for the right reasons. TRESemmé has also notably been the official hair care sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York for the past 8 seasons. It's credentials surely make it worth trying once.

This post is an entry to TRESemmé Contest at IndiBlogger.

India First!

After having dinner today, I and a friend of mine while reading through posters saw a poster of 'India First'. He asked me, Why India first and not the people of India? Well, i tried to explain him but he was adamant on his so-called ''Universal Brotherhood'' Approach. This post is just how i understand it.

India, as we name it, what really is India? Is India the natural resources, the part of earth from this to that latitude and longitude. Is India the landmass east of Indus or South of Himalayas. What constitutes India? And why country first? We could well put the whole of earth first or humans first or as our intellect allows.

India is not just a country. It is country but none of us just live in a country which is a mere geographical territory. It is much beyond. India is the culture that spans more than 5000 years. India is a way of life. India is tolerance. india is Universal Brotherhood. India is Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Parsi, Buddhism; all in ONE. India is more ancient than 'Ancient India' and more modern than 'Modern India'. India is not just all that we love. india is also poor, hungry, searching for life. But India is.

No, It's not just a landmass. India is more than 130 Crore lives altogether. India First does not mean negation of Universal Brotherhood rather without India First, there can not exist any universal brotherhood. We have to start somewhere. Yes, Love has to spread from one to many and to many more.

I started with loving my mother, then family, relatives, friends, enemies, my village, town, state and then India. Yes, Mother Earth is next on the list.

A Mother loves her children unconditionally, they are always first. Why? You can say , it is selfishness. Yes, It is selfishness. and when was it not supposed to be selfish? From the moment you took your first breath, You started being selfish. Knowingly or unknowingly you have been selfish at all times and used so many things, animals and even human beings to attain what you wanted to. I don't support it. But Selfishness was always hit and it will always be!

What matters is how selfish is not 'selfish'. If you do not care even for yourself, then i have doubts if you could ever be so for anything else.  So care and spread love. love your fellow beings. Love your neighbours, friends, everyone around you. Care for them. Forgive the wrong ones but do not forget the right ones.

Acknowledge the importance of those close to you in your being what you are. Acknowledge the importance of the environment in shaping you into a better human being. And once you do this, No matter which nation you belong to; You will start loving your country. And as loving your mother does not mean hatred for other mothers, but it increases the love and respect for motherhood. In similar manner, Loving your country in general and countrymen in particular does not mean hating others but it gives the sound ground to universal brotherhood.

So for me, India will always be First!!

Pyar, Ishq aur Mohabbat Ya Love, Sex aur Dhokha

Well...after long time, I am back to blogging. Hope it gets regular this time. It will all depend on my inclination towards it.

Lovely are the days when one is falling in love, but do we really fall in love or love falls in place to fit in.
There are cases when love fails terribly even when it's both-ways valid. Why so and so occurs? Why a couple in love decides to say No to the affair and ends the ongoing saga of love. I am no expert. I even lack much experience in the field. I can only say that love is more spiritual than it is physical while the real world scenarios have generally equal weightage to both spiritual and material aspects. We do get attracted to other sex in general even when we are in love with one particular person. We cannot avoid it, but we surely can regulate it. Now the question lies with us - Whether we want to do it or not?
Hope we all improve as a person and we actualize our potentials to make a better society.

In-roads to biking

Basically I am not an Indian Biker per se, but the Castrol Power1 Blogging Contest on Indiblogger i couldn't resist and though i do not have many first-hand experiences to share. I do have enjoyed many of those trips with my crazy friends some of whom can well be categorized as those with Biking as their first love. and i have seen the jealousy that their fair sex lovers have for their bikes probably for the same reason.

Anyways coming back to the point, When i was working in Mumbai some 3 years ago, I had made great bonding with a colleague of mine Pratik, he was basically from Gujrat and would love to go biking anytime you please even if does not suit her wife, he being a married man and the other restriction that a married life per se has.

I was not well aquainted with Biking then and it's with him i learnt Biking on Indian roads. Biking and Biking on Indian Roads sounds to me two particularly different things. I specially remember one trip we took to Ahmedabad. It was fun riding through unfamiliar, beautiful landscape and experiencing the place unknown together.

In many ways it was as fantastic as one can imagine, but there always are two sides of a coin. Beautiful sky, awesome weather and then site of killed dogs on the roads, industrial smoke-filled atmosphere not always feels soothing to anybody. Then the rash drivers driving as they like and feeling at home pedestrians. and to top these all, when you are on a long journey, Motorcycle seat becomes pain in the ass and even a not-so-hygienic place to stop feels like a good idea to take rest. To travel across India, one fairly needs to be well-aquainted with how Indian roadways, truck drivers make sense out of anything and once you get a habit, like everything else bike-riding becomes as fun on the busy roads as on the countryside.

I feel that's all i am gonna write right now, i need much more experience to become an Indian Biker.

Long lost are the posts prior to this...and an ignored blog.

Hope to revive it to write here more frequently.
In almost 3 years of absence, nothing much has changed except that i am jobless and the hunt is on to catch up with time and myself. In the mean time, i have been preparing for civil services since then and am waiting for results of MAINS examination these days.Albeit there is a lack of understanding between me and myself. There is a conflict that wants me to do this or may be that. Not everything can be summed up in a day. Will try to solve what is deep hidden. For now, this is all. Life goes on!!..

IPL Mathematics

Following is the IPL team tally as of today after Bangalore taking over Delhi in today's IPL Match:

Team Matches
W L Tied N/R Pts NRR
Delhi 13 9 4 0 0 18 0.25
Chennai 13 7 5 0 1 15 0.93
Hyderabad 13 7 6 0 0 14 0.26
Bangalore 13 7 6 0 0 14 -0.25
Punjab 13 7 6 0 0 14 -0.42
Rajasthan 13 6 6 0 1 13 -0.36
Mumbai 13 5 7 0 1 11 0.40
Kolkata 13 2 10 0 1 5 -0.89

Now, the purpose is to find out competent IPL semi finalists based on the data provided and probability. ;)

Assumptions:
1.) No Tie break between Chennai V/s Punjab, Hyderabad V/s Bangalore.
2.) Current Run rate is taken into consideration.

Delhi is already qualified for the Semi Finals.

Rajasthan wins
Chennai wins & Hyderabad wins - Chennai 17, Hyderabad 16, Rajasthan 15
(out Punjab 14, Bangalore 14)
Chennai wins & Hyderabad loses - Chennai 17, Bangalore 16, Rajasthan 15
(out Hyderabad 14, Punjab 14)
Chennai loses & Hyderabad wins - Hyderabad 16, Punjab 16, Chennai 15
(out Rajasthan 15, Bangalore 14)
Chennai loses & Hyderabad loses - Bangalore 16, Punjab 16, Chennai 15
(out Rajasthan 15, Hyderabad 14)

Rajasthan loses/tie-break
Chennai wins & Hyderabad wins - Chennai 17, Hyderabad 16, Bangalore 14
(out Punjab 14, Rajasthan 13/14)
Chennai wins & Hyderabad loses - Chennai 17, Bangalore 16, Hyderabad 14
(out Punjab 14, Rajasthan 13/14)
Chennai loses & Hyderabad wins - Hyderabad 16, Punjab 16, Chennai 15
(out Bangalore 14, Rajasthan 13/14)
Chennai loses & Hyderabad loses - Bangalore 16, Punjab 16, Chennai 15
(out Hyderabad 14, Rajasthan 13/14)

In the above projection, Rajasthan's loss/tie break with Kolkata are identical. So, the probability to qualify for the semi-final is:

Chennai: 8/8 (100%)
Hyderabad: 5/8 (62.5%)
Bangalore: 5/8 (62.5%)
Punjab: 4/8 (50%)
Rajasthan: 2/8 (25%)

Based on the above probability, Semi-final would be:

Delhi V/s Bangalore (1 V/s 4)
Chennai V/s Hyderabad (2 V/s 3)

Hence, one thing is sure that Chennai and Delhi are surely going to be in Semi-Finals. Rest is purely mathematics. (Courtesy: an IPL Fan)
